Thermal Grizzly TG Intel 1700 CPU Contact Frame LT, Optimized CPU contact pressure

The Thermal Grizzly CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT is the "Lite" version of the Intel 13th/14th Gen CPU Contact Frame and is manufactured using the injection molding process. The material used is an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, which has a 15% glass fiber content for added stability.

The typical integrated load mechanism (ILM) has contact points located in the center of the elongated CPU. Due to the resulting uneven contact pressure of the processor on the socket, the surface of the integrated heat spreader (IHS) is concavely curved. As a result, the CPU cooler baseplate rests primarily on the edges of the IHS, resulting in the thermal “hotspot” in the center of the CPU not being optimally covered.

The Intel 1700 LT CPU contact frame features a special internal contour to shift contact pressure from the center of the CPU to the edges during assembly. This avoids the concave curvature of the IHS. This results in better support for CPU coolers on the processor and a larger contact surface to dissipate CPU waste heat.

Installing the contact panel is very simple and only requires a few steps. Depending on the CPU cooler and the CPU used, processor temperatures can be significantly reduced.

The Intel 1700 LT CPU Contact Frame is compatible with 12th, 13th, and 14th generation processors for the LGA1700 socket. In addition, the frame is only compatible with processors whose integrated heat spreader (IHS) is polished to a maximum of 0.2 mm. When installing, make sure that there are no electronic components under the frame. This is especially important for motherboards with a Mini-ITX form factor.

Removing the motherboard's integrated loading mechanism (ILM) may void the motherboard manufacturer's warranty!
