The camera should not be subjected to excessive temperature and humidity differences to avoid condensation forming behind the lens.
NOTES ON OPENING THE BATTERY UNIT
The fin has a safety feature so that it will not open in water under any conditions.
Push the slide on the battery compartment to the side and at the same time press the battery compartment away from the camera.
Make sure the compartment is fully closed again before the next use.
