If a bird, deer or other animal moves in front of the lens, the camera activates and starts recording within 0.8 seconds.

The process of filling the feeder is very easy:
1. Pull the roof cap forward from the back to open the container.
2. Fill the food tray with the bird food.
3. Close the roof lid by pushing it back.
4. If necessary, pull out the bottom drawer to make more room for the food.

In addition to the built-in 1200 mAh battery, BirdyCam has a dual solar panel that provides continuous power when the sun is shining, so the device needs very little charging. When the sun doesn't shine for long periods of time, BirdyCam's battery can be easily charged via a USB cable.

Data transfer is also very simple: Just remove the memory card from the BirdyCam and insert it into the USB port of your computer. Then copy the videos and photos to your computer. BirdyCam supports memory cards with a maximum capacity of 32GB and a maximum speed of class U1.
