THE Ichiban Kasuga, a member of a low-ranking Yakuza family in Tokyo, faces an 18-year prison sentence after being convicted of a crime he did not commit. Never losing faith, he serves his time faithfully and returns to society to find that no one was waiting for him outside, and his clan destroyed by the man he respected most.
THE Ichiban tries to discover the truth behind his family's betrayal and take his life back by attracting a group of outsiders to society: The Adachi, a police officer, Nanba, a homeless ex-nurse, and Saeko, a host on assignment.
Together, they are driven to a conflict that lies beneath the surface at Yokohama and they must succeed to become the heroes.
